Celebrating 50 years of leadership, professionalism, and impact in Sri Lanka’s ICT industry

Heartiest congratulations to the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) on its 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee a proud milestone for the professional body representing Sri Lankan IT professionals.

For five decades, CSSL has played a central role in bringing together ICT professionals, thought leaders, educators, innovators, and institutions to advance the country’s digital journey and enhance professionalism within the ICT community in Sri Lanka.

At DMS Group, we are honoured to have shared a long and meaningful association with CSSL from its early years. Our Chairman Mr. Ruvan Ratnatunga was among the visionary leaders who helped lay the foundation for CSSL as a Founding Member and long-serving Treasurer.

That commitment to CSSL and to the development of Sri Lanka’s ICT profession has continued through the contributions of DMS leadership over the years.

Former DMS Electronics Director/ MD, Mr. Lal Chandranath, served as the 3rd President of CSSL while Mr. Chandana Weerasinghe, current Director / General Manager of DMSE Division 2, served as the 5th President of CSSL. They continue to remain actively engaged with the Society and its initiatives.

Their leadership reflects DMS Group’s longstanding belief in supporting professional development, industry collaboration, and the advancement of ICT in Sri Lanka.

For the past three years, DMS Software Technologies has been a proud sponsor of the National ICT Conference, CSSL’s flagship event that brings together the ICT community to share knowledge, discuss emerging trends, and inspire the next generation of professionals.

As part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations, Mr. Ruvan Ratnatunga, Mr. Lal Chandranath, and Mr. Chandana Weerasinghe were honoured for their contributions to CSSL. We congratulate them on this recognition.

As CSSL celebrates this golden milestone, DMS Group joins the ICT community in recognising its outstanding contribution to the profession and to Sri Lanka’s digital progress.
